The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the February 25, 2023 Election, has promised to transform Edo State into an energy state that would promote economic prosperity if elected President of the country.
Tinubu also promised to contribute money to the building of the proposed Benin Royal Museum, a project that is being championed by the Benin Monarch, HRM Oba Ewuare II, as well as not only ensuring the return of other stolen Benin Artefacts but the payment of reparation for the artefacts.
He made the promise during the APC Presidential Campaign Rally held yesterday in Benin City, the Edo State Capital
According to him, “I know how to perform. I did it in Lagos and I will do it in Nigeria. I will bring an economic hub to Edo State. We will turn this State to an energy state.
“If I become president, I will contribute money to build the Benin Royal Museum, and tell the people to pay retribution for the artefacts as the artefacts were made by our forefathers. I supported the Oba who said the heritage must come back to its original place ( the palace)”.
The APC presidential hopeful said his administration if elected as president would turn yahoo boys into Technology experts, and brings short, medium and long-term reforms to the country.
While speaking on the recent endorsement of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Tinubu, said: “One who doesn’t know the way cannot show the way. He is endorsing Obi but he doesn’t know the road
“Can that man recommend a leader for you in Nigeria? Is that not sending an angel to pick your pocket and a blind leading the blind?
“Trust me, I am an expert in finding the way where there is no way. I found a way to tame the Atlantic Ocean and turned it into a money-making machine.
“I found the way to stop the killing drainages to channelisation and prosperity. I have done many things. I have the power of thinking and doing.
“If you want prosperity, elect me, If you want skills to become rich, elect me, If you want security, elect me.
“If you say I should retire, you will retire knowledge, diamond and gold”, he stated.
In his goodwill message, the Kano State Governor, Dr Umar Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said the Northern Governors are committed to electing the APC presidential candidate and charged the party supporters to vote massively for Tinubu.
Speaking also, the former APC National Chairman and immediate past governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, described Tinubu as a detribalised Nigerian and a visionary leader.
He said the APC presidential candidate stands tall amongst other candidates for the presidency, adding that Tinubu if elected would create Jobs for the people, fight unemployment and empower the women
Other dignitaries who spoke at the rally are APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Beta Edu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Edo State APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Mr. Lucky Imasuen, Edo State APC Chairman, Col. David Imuse (retd).
