The distinguished Member Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke has again empowered members of his Ikeja Federal Constituency with capacity training on fire safety and gave cash grants of five-hundred-thousand naira (500, 000) each to 111 participants and 452 other constituent members got two-hundred-thousand naira (200, 000) each on Friday at the Banquet Hall of the Excellence Hotel, Ogba-Aguda, Ikeja, Lagos.
The experience Federal Lawmaker who has consistently put smile and provide succour to residents of Ikeja Federal Constituency again empowered 563 Constituents with the cash grants to artisans and plumbers in the constituency.
While making his remark, the charismatic Chairman, Finance House Committee urged all beneficiaries to make good use of the cash grant to better their lives and businesses.
Rt. Hon Faleke stated that he facilitated the capacity training and cash grants in 2021, hence is the concluding part of the year and promise better days ahead for all in the new 2022 fiscal year.
He also expressed his gratitude to the APC National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the President Muhammadu Buhari led government for making such empowerment event possible.
The High-Chief Atunlushe-Akorede 1 of Ikeja-Land alluded to the fact that as an experienced legislator, he was able to attract and facilitate several sustainable developmental projects and empowerment programs to the benefits of the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency.
He affirmed that rehabilitation works have commenced on 17 roads he facilitated within the Ikeja Federal.
He also accounted for the purchase of Security vehicles for police and other government agencies affected after the EndSARS crisis. Hon Faleke also facilitated the construction of class rooms and solar powered boreholes across Ikeja Federal Constituency.
Lagos Panorama reported in February 2021 that Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke had empowered over 2000 members of his constituency for the fourth time in less than 12 months with Items distributed included 100 mini-buses, 11 tricycles, 50 deep freezers and 50 generators, 100 grinding machines, 30 hairdresser dryers, 50 Industrial sewing machines, 50 butterfly sewing machines, and cash grant of forty thousand naira each to 100 constituents of Ikeja Federal constituency.
Leaders and party faithful at the Friday’s event at Excellent Hotel were excited of this awesome feat and endorsed him for another term to represent the Ikeja Federal Constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly.
A former Vice Chairman Onigbongbo LCDA Aremo Kayode Sadiq Wakeel who spoke to Lagos Panorama, said “Hon Faleke is a man of God, whatever he promise he will do, he will do, and when he started with the mantra, ‘service to the people’, we thought it was just for that moment, but that is what he’s still doing to date, quality service to the people”.
“He has set a record no one can break in a very longtime, if he should attempt not to contest for the House of Rep position, then there will be serious problem for whoever want to aspire for the position, because Faleke has performed beyond our imaginations of both politicians and non-politicians”.
“Faleke’s empowerment programs have been very impactful to the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency, he provided tools for different vocations, trained our people and gave them cash grants to over 2000 constituents of Ikeja Federal Constituency”.
“He has facilitated solar streetlights on almost all our streets, he’s a different kind of politician”.
The Chairman APC Ikeja Federal Constituency, Alhaji Dally Adeokun alluded that the performance of Hon Faleke is incomparable.
He said “Hon Faleke is truly the Kosheleri of Ikeja, he personified true qualitative representation of the people. We are well pleased with the performance on our MHR, he has continue to give us reasons to be proud of him, he has represented our party well and deserve to continue with the quality service to the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency, he’ll make our job easy at the general elections” Alhaji Adeokun asserted.
The erstwhile LGA Chairman APC Ojodu LCDA Engr. Kayode Ajakaye noted that “Let us thank our Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for giving us Hon Faleke, let me simply say, good thinking, good product” he asserted.
A former Executive Secretary Ojodu LCDA, Mallam Moyosore Jaji also told Lagos Panorama that the best thing Asiwaju. It’s only Hon Faleke that have manifested the truism of constituency project, go all over Ikeja Federal Constituency, he has ensured installation of streetlights and several other developmental projects including what we witnessing today.
Mallam Jaji averred that if other legislators can emulate Hon Faleke, he noted that they don’t have to spend all the allocation of the constituency project before the impact will be felt by the people, this will encourage more people to join politics. “If we have more people doing what Faleke is doing now, it will infuse confident in our people, that hope is not lost, so I am very proud of him” the erstwhile Council boss alluded.
In concluding Mallam Jaji prayed that “may God continue to give him more life to continue to lead us the way has being leading us, let us be frank with ourselves, it’s only when you’re delivering that you can have confidence that yes when you want to go back people will troupe out en masse for you” he concluded.
Former Secretary to the Ojodu Local Government, Barrister Yomi Tijani also added his voice in support of the third term lawmaker “we are lucky to have Hon James Faleke in Ikeja Federal Constituency, he is a blessing to us, he has done several landmark empowerment programs that I have attended. I can’t quantify it, as at the last count well over two thousand residents of Ikeja Federal Constituency have benefitted in the laudable empowerments. He has touched so many lives, save so many souls, he has blessed so many people. I am proud of him, I am very proud of him”.
The legal-luminary also advised beneficiaries of the grants to use it wisely, so as to make Hon Faleke happier that they make good use of the resource he offered them.
The Chairman Ikeja Community Development Committee, Alhaji Oshiberu Zulu Kaleen said “I will tell you that the efforts Hon Faleke had put into ensuring the grassroots benefited in the dividend of democracy is second to none across Nigeria. He has touched the grassroots, the CDA, CDC in Ikeja. He is a blessing to us”.
“I pray that he continue to grow from strength to strength by God’s grace and his 4th term is not negotiable.
Veteran actor, Movie Producer and Politician Queen Oluwafunmbi Akinduro said “We’ve never seen anything like this in Ikeja, in Lagos, in fact in the entire Nigeria, we’ve not seen such a nice person with the sincere love of his people in his heart like Hon James Abiodun Faleke, Olu-Omo Faleke, the Kosheleri of Ikeja-Land”.
“He’s giving hundreds of people grants of 500,000 naira each, 200,000 naira each, he has distributed hundreds of mini-buses, tricycles and equipment for artisans who are members of Ikeja Federal Constituency. May the Lord continue to strengthening him.
