Abuja, March 29, 2026 – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today marked his 74th birthday with a special message to Nigerians, expressing gratitude for their support and reflecting on the progress of his administration.

In his statement, President Tinubu thanked citizens for their prayers, messages, and public expressions of goodwill, acknowledging the patriotism and solidarity shown by Nigerians. He also extended special appreciation to his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their warm birthday messages.

Maintaining his tradition of observing birthdays in tune with the nation’s mood, the President said he opted for a low-key celebration this year. He reflected on the challenges faced since the launch of his administration’s reforms, noting that despite setbacks—including the ongoing Middle East crisis—there are signs of progress.

President Tinubu emphasized that the achievements of his administration were a collective effort, crediting the government, the Renewed Hope team, and Nigerians themselves. Looking ahead to the third anniversary of his administration, he reaffirmed his commitment to building a brighter future for the country and future generations.

“We are determined to confront the challenges we face today, and with your continued support, we shall overcome,” he said, calling on all Nigerians to work together towards a stronger, prosperous, and more resilient nation.

The President concluded his message with a note of personal celebration: “Thank you all, and happy 74th birthday to me!”
