His appointment reflects the Lagos State Government’s confidence in experienced media professionals to drive public engagement for one of Nigeria’s biggest emerging sporting events.
Speaking on the appointment, Olaniyan expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the Local Organizing Committee for the confidence reposed in him, describing the opportunity as both an honour and a responsibility.
“I am deeply honoured by this appointment and grateful to the Lagos State Government for the confidence placed in me. I look forward to working with the committee to deliver a vibrant digital campaign that will engage Nigerians, celebrate our athletes, and make the inaugural National Intermediate Games – EKO 2026 a resounding success.”
The appointment takes immediate effect and will remain valid until the successful conclusion of the Games and the submission of all committee reports.
