PHOTO-NEWS: Alausa community celebrates Baale Badmus’s 100-day on throne amid COVID-19 protocol

The Alausa community in the Ikeja Local Government celebrated the 100 days of the rein of their royal leader, High Chief Toyin Muftau Badmus, Odewale II on Saturday.

The Alausa community in the Ikeja Local Government celebrated the 100 days of the rein of their royal leader, High Chief Toyin Muftau Badmus, Odewale II on Saturday.

The celebration was observed with strict adherence to government’s protocol in curbing the COVID-19 pandemic as Neimeth Pharmaceutical was on ground to give free sanitizers and other antiseptic disinfectants. The organizing committee also made facemask available for everyone at the venue, community square of Odewale/Jogunomi junction, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The event commenced with recitation of the Holy-Quran by the Chief Imam of Alausa and ably supported by other notable clerics at the event.

Thereafter, respective sociocultural groups in Alausa which include Igbo, Ebira, Hausa, South-South, Benue, Tiv and also religious groups like Alasalatu and Christian Association of Nigeria, Alausa chapter, youth groups and a host of others all paid homage with gift presentation and declaration of their support and unalloyed loyalty to the Baale.

The Baale in his remark appreciated the Alausa community members, both indigenes and settlers.

High Chief Badmus expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support since he ascended the throne of his forefathers. He promised to help attract more sustainable developmental activities to the community.

While speaking with pressmen at the event, High-Chief Badmus, the Adeyanju I of Alausa, specially appreciated Lagos Panorama for reporting activities of the community, especially all activities culminating to his emergence as the Baale of Alausa.

In his words “I want to sincerely thank Lagos Panorama for their unbiased reportage of activities culminating to my ascending the throne of my forefather” the royal father averred.

He further advised all the residents of Alausa and Lagos State to comply with the state protocol on curbing the pandemic and be prayerful to God for mercy to cleanse the entire world of the deadly virus and cure all those affected by the virus.
