The National APC Women Advocacy and Organisation (NAWA-ORG), through its flagship advocacy platform—the Hope Restored Program (HRP)—has formally launched the EcoFlame Project, themed “Safer Cooking for Every Home.” The initiative, unveiled on November 20, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, is part of NAWA-ORG’s efforts to spotlight developmental strides under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

The event, held in partnership with the Olowu Hope Initiative Foundation and aligned with the Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, brought together traditional rulers, development partners, clean-energy providers, women-led organisations, technical experts, and community groups.

Stakeholders at the forum emphasised the advantages of the EcoFlame clean-cooking solution, noting its potential to reduce household smoke, minimise health and fire hazards, protect the environment, shorten fuel-gathering time for rural women, and improve family savings.

NAWA-ORG commended its Southwest EXCO for the strong mobilisation of grassroots participants, particularly rural women, and expressed appreciation to members who travelled from across the region to attend.

Activities extended into a second day, as NAWA-ORG leaders attended the coronation of Otunba Dr. Adejare Rewane Adegbengro, the Organisation’s Southwest Zonal Patron, who was installed as Olori Omoba, Akinale Owu Kingdom, and Asiwaju Jagunmolu Egba. The celebrations took place at both the Olowu and Alake Palaces and concluded with a grand reception at the marquee centre of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Estate. Members turned out in full NAWA-ORG and APC regalia in solidarity with the patron.

The Organisation also extended heartfelt appreciation to His Royal Majesty, the Olowu Hope Initiative Foundation, and Olori (Amb.) Adabota Ameenah Jaja, FIDSIR, for her innovation and enduring advocacy for sustainable domestic solutions. NAWA-ORG described the EcoFlame collaboration as a testament to the power of shared vision, effective leadership, and community-centred partnership.

Advocacy Commitment

NAWA-ORG reaffirmed its steadfast dedication to the Hope Restored Program, describing it as a vital advocacy tool for amplifying the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and strengthening national support ahead of 2027. Through projects like EcoFlame, the Organisation said it will continue to drive women’s empowerment, promote clean-energy adoption, and support community development in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

As engagements expand nationwide, NAWA-ORG pledged to sustain peaceful, impactful, and unifying programmes that highlight effective governance, deepen grassroots mobilisation, and advance national progress.
