She gave the commendation as part of her shout-out after clinching another Grammy Sunday night in Las Vegas.


It was at the 64th edition of the prestigious award.


Wizkid had equally been nominated for two categories: Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album.
Kidjo however was named winner.


Angelique Kidjo won for her album, Mother Nature.
The album also features Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi and more on different songs.


“When I won [my last] Grammy, I said that the young musicians from Africa are gonna take the world by storm, so I want to thank them: Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Sting, Mr. Eazi…” Kidjo said
