The Ministry of Tertiary Education, under the auspices of the Lagos State Government, proudly introduces the Eko Digital Training programme, targeting youth in Badagry and Ikorodu divisions.

Scheduled from July 28 to August 1, 2025, the intensive training will be hosted at Iba ICT Centre, Iba Town, and Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG), CBT Centre, Ikorodu Town Hall.
The programme’s curriculum is carefully designed to provide participants with a unique combination of digital literacy and entrepreneurial skills, including essential modern competencies such as emotional intelligence and an introduction to artificial intelligence, ensuring access to high-quality education and practical trcareers
Addressing the press in Ikeja, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule, reiterated the state government’s commitment to excellence in tertiary institutions, stating that this training is a testament to this commitment.
The programme offers specialised courses tailored to equip young individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen careers.
Tolani stated that the Iba and Ikorodu training centres will offer an ideal learning setting, equipped with cutting-edge facilities, expert guidance, and a supportive atmosphere that fosters effective learstate
He emphasized that this comprehensive approach aims to enable participants to rapidly acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills to compete and excel in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world.
The Permanent Secretary, Adeniran Kasali, remarked that investing in digital training is crucial for developing a thriving and globally competitive economy, which will enhance the overall quality of life for the youth and residents across the state.
He further extended a genuine invitation to all eligible youths in Iba and Ikorodu, urging them to seize this remarkable chance and actively participate in the diverse range of free digital programs and courses availyouth
Building on the earlier training sessions for youths in Yaba, Agege, and Epe, this initiative underscores the Lagos State government’s commitment to prioritizing education and skills development as a strategic approach to mitigating unemployment and fostering a culture of self-reliance among the youth.
