FG launches teach vaccine strategy

The Federal Government has rollout covid-19 vaccine strategy ahead of the 4 million doses of vaccines expected in the country in few hours.

The Federal Government has rollout COVID-19 vaccine strategy ahead of the 4 million doses of vaccines expected in the country in few hours.

Tagged teach, the strategy adopts traditional approach to vaccination; uses electronic registration and assisted electronic registration for eligible Nigerians.

It also has provision for house to house registration to make vaccines accessible to rural dwellers who do not have access to internet.

The “teach” strategy also has phases for vaccination in the country beginning with the frontline health workers and the elderly above 50 years with underline health problem.

The President, Vice President, ministers and governors will also be vaccinated at the first phase to assure citizens that the vaccines are safe

States and local government areas with higher disease burdens will follow before the rest of the population will get their shots within the two years.
