Faleke: Reps Finance Committee Continues Revenue Monitoring Engagement with Key Agencies

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke, has disclosed that the committee has continued its engagement with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as part of the ongoing 2023–2025 Revenue Monitoring Exercise.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke, has disclosed that the committee has continued its engagement with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as part of the ongoing 2023–2025 Revenue Monitoring Exercise.

Faleke, who shared the update on his social media platforms on Thursday evening, said the exercise is aimed at reviewing and assessing revenues generated and remitted to the Federal Government by various government agencies.

According to him, the committee is examining the financial records and remittance performance of several agencies to ensure transparency and accountability in revenue collection.

Agencies that appeared before the committee include the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

The Revenue Monitoring Exercise forms part of the oversight responsibilities of the House of Representatives aimed at strengthening revenue accountability and improving government earnings.
