
The Honourable Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the National Assembly’s Green Chamber, Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke distributed empowerment tools to 1,423 constituents on Friday and also provided 20,000 households with free distribution of 5kg of rice and garri each on Saturday.

The distribution took place at the Lagos Television Authority premises, Agidingbi, Ikeja, within the Blue-Roof structure.
The beneficiaries were given tools such as tricycles, deep freezers, hair dryers, wireless clippers, power generators and grinding machines.
Others include Juice extractors, industrial sewing machines, deep freezers, cake mixers, plumbing tools, coolers, plastic chairs and tables were also distributed.

Faleke in his remark at the event said that the only criterion to benefit from the empowerment was the presentation of the voters’ card.
He said that the empowerment was not limited to any particular party or tribe.

“The only criteria is to be a voter. You must be a registered voter with a voter card.
“Also, it has nothing to do with your tribe, religion or belief,” he said.

The Federal lawmaker, who is also the Chairman of, the House Committee on Finance, emphasized the importance of civic responsibility.
Faleke said that President Bola Tinubu was committed to serving all Nigerians, regardless of their party affiliations or tribes.

He pledged to reach out to more members of his constituency with empowerment programmes.
He cautioned the beneficiaries against selling the tools, emphasizing the importance of utilizing them to make a positive impact on communities.

He commended President Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as remarkable.
Alhaja Olusola Kokumo, the Chairman of APC in Ojodu Local Council Development Area, described Faleke as a Godsend.
“He has been doing this even before he got elected, he keeps assisting and contributing to making lives of members of this constituency better.
In the same vein, Chairman APC Onigbongbo, Alhaja Iyabode Akerele, also expressed immense gratitude to the Federal Lawmaker for his continuous efforts in putting smiles on the faces of residents of Ikeja Federal Constituents.
Alhaja Akerele alluded that life will be lot better for the common man if all the political office holder could emulate Rt Hon Faleke’s humanitarian service to the people.
“I urge other lawmakers to emulate him,” she said.
A trader and one of the beneficiaries, Alhaja Muibat Ashiru, commended Faleke for the gesture.
She prayed God to bless him.

Mr Alex Anetor, an indigene of Warri, Delta, and a hair stylist, who also benefitted, told NAN that he was happy and grateful for the empowerment.

The distribution process commenced seamlessly at 6 am, two hours ahead of the scheduled 8 am start time, as beneficiaries began arriving in large numbers.

According to Mr. Bayo ‘Ayo (Esq.), the event Coordinator, ‘our strategy to avoid potential stampedes involved anticipating an early rush, which prompted us to commence distributing 5kg rice and garri food palliatives at 6 am.’
“I expressed gratitude to our MHR for the ongoing support to the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency. Approximately two months ago, food palliatives comprising rice and semovita were distributed to 10,000 households, and today’s effort represents an improvement,” the Barrister at Law affirmed.
“I extend sincere appreciation to all individuals who contributed to the seamless execution of today’s distribution, which occurred without any major incidents. We are deeply grateful to God,” he concluded.
