Education District II Distributes Sports Equipment to Public Schools

The Lagos State Education District II, Maryland, has distributed sports equipment received from the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Education, to public schools within the district in order to facilitate and enhance sporting activities among the students.

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye, spoke about the gesture and appreciated the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his continued investments in the education sector by ensuring that students are well grounded in every area, including sports activities.

Mrs. Adekanye also commended the State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, for introducing initiatives in the education sector, just as she enjoined the students to make good use of the new sports equipment.

Some of the equipment distributed to public schools in District II includes Table Tennis boards and Accessories, Footballs, Volleyballs, Basketballs, Relay Batons and First Aid Boxes among others.
