The All Progressive Congress Ikeja Federal Constituency continues with the grassroots engagement and sensitization in ward B of Onigbongbo LCDA on Monday with the 5th walk-through Rally Campaign for all its candidates towards the forthcoming general elections.
The walk-through Rally was declared open by Chairman APC Ikeja LGA who also doubles as Chairman of Chairmen LGA 57 in Lagos State, Alhaji Dally Adeokun, at Nitel junction Maryland through GRA and its environs.
The Campaign train also made a stopover at the campaign office of the Lagos West Senatorial candidate for APC, Dr. Idiat Adebule who was on hand in the company of the Executive Chairman Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA Hon Rasaq Ajala to welcome the team.
Mama West as she is now fondly called, expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the campaign and urged them to continue with the house-to-house campaign and canvass vigorously to the electorates to enable all the party’s candidates to emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections.
The event was well attended by notable Political figures within Ikeja LGA, Ojodu and Onigbongbo LCDAs. This includes Lagos State Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, GAC Leader, Dr. Abayomi Finnih, Onigbongbo LCDA Chairperson, Alhaja Akerele and her Ojodu Counterparts, Alhaja Kokumo. As well as the Lagos State house of Assembly candidate for Ikeja Constituency 1, Hon Seyi Lawal.
Mr Tayo Ayinde in his welcome address enjoined the people to go and get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), ready at the Local Government and vote massively for all APC Candidates in the coming elections, saying this is the only weapon they have, without it you are not eligible to be at the Polling unit.
He however promised a cash reward for any ward with the highest number of Votes among the 10 wards in the Ikeja Federal Constituency during the elections.
The walk-through campaign rally continues on Wednesday at Ojodu ward B and on Friday at Onigbongbo ward C respectively.
