Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has denied any connection with a group that released a video responding to comments made by the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Adeola Al-Maroof-Oloyede, popularly known as Kendoo.

NURTW dismisses allegations as baseless, challenges Kendoo to provide evidence

Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has denied any connection with a group that released a video responding to comments made by the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Adeola Al-Maroof-Oloyede, popularly known as Kendoo.

In an official statement addressing the allegations, MC Oluomo said he had no personal, political or indirect relationship with the individuals behind the response video, insisting that he neither sponsored nor authorised their actions.

He explained that the controversy followed a video recorded and published by the council chairman during a trip to China, which reportedly attracted reactions from transport workers and other party stakeholders who felt referenced by his remarks.

According to MC Oluomo, the chairman was attempting to link him to a matter in which he had no involvement, describing the allegations as baseless and an attempt to drag his name into an unnecessary controversy.

He further claimed that the individuals involved had publicly stated that they had never met him and had no connection with him. He cited a Facebook post attributed to one of the chairman’s allies as an additional basis for his position.

Calls for Independent Investigation

MC Oluomo welcomed the chairman’s reported call for security agencies to investigate the controversy, urging them to conduct a thorough, independent and transparent investigation into both the original video recorded in China and the subsequent response video.

He also challenged Kendoo to provide credible evidence linking him to the group or its video within a reasonable timeframe.

The NURTW president maintained that he had no objection to the proposed procurement of 300 tricycles for the council’s community transportation scheme. However, he expressed concern over the chairman’s reported declaration that certain National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) officials, including those associated with him, would not be permitted to impose levies on the tricycles.

MC Oluomo insisted that the controversy should not be used to undermine his reputation or draw him into a dispute in which he maintains he has no involvement.

Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and APC Unity

In conclusion, MC Oluomo reassured residents of Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos State, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the general public of his commitment to peace, order and party unity.

He said he would not allow what he described as baseless allegations to distract him from his responsibilities.

The statement was signed by Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and APC stakeholder.
