Your appointment as acting CJN, well deserved – Oyo Politicians tell Ariwoola

The gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin and the lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa and Kajola federal constituency, Shina Abiola Peller have described the appointment of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria as well deserved.

The gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin and the lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa and Kajola federal constituency, Shina Abiola Peller have described the appointment of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria as well deserved.

The trio made this disclosure in separate press statements made available to DAILY POST on Tuesday.

Ariwoola was yesterday sworn in as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria on Monday.

The appointment became necessary following the resignation of Tanko Muhammad.

The trio of Folarin, Ogundoyin and Peller in their reaction described the appointment of the Iseyin-born legal icon as well deserved.

Folarin in his remark charged the new acting CJN to remain committed to reforms in the judiciary and uphold the rule of law.

The lawmaker in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Yekeen Olaniyi and made available to DAILY POST said the judiciary is the most sensitive organ of the government.

“On behalf of the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, I warmly congratulate our illustrious son of the Pacesetter State, Honourable Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on his merited elevation as Acting Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Judiciary is the most sensitive organ of the government and the last hope of the common man. Therefore, I urge the new Acting CJN to implement all the reforms he intends to bring to bear on the Nigerian judiciary.

Ogundoyin in his contribution explained that the appointment of Ariwoola is a further testament to the resilient, hard-working, diligent and dedicated nature of Oyo State indigenes across the globe.

He added that the new acting CJN will bring his years of legal experience to bear on the arduous task of administering justice in the country.

He urged the Iseyin-born legal icon to further etch his name in gold by working with other eminent jurists at the apex court to reposition the nation’s judiciary for better service delivery.

“May I congratulate our own, Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on his elevation and appointment to the enviable and exalted position of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN.

“Your lordship’s appointment is unequivocally well merited as you have carved a niche for yourself in the legal profession.

Peller in his contribution described Ariwoola as an asset to Oke Ogun.

He added that Ariwoola is an embodiment of integrity, justice, truth and the rule of law.

Peller maintained that the new acting CJN will restore sanity to the judiciary.

“It gladdens my heart, and that of my constituents and the people of Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, to see him reach the pinnacle of his career. I must say that this is indeed a big plus for the people of Oke Ogun, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.

“The 2023 general elections are fast approaching, and many are confident that the tenure of the acting CJN will restore sanity to the judiciary.
