BE THE VESSEL OF LOVE THIS MOTHERING SUNDAY AND BEYOND.
Like many traditions and festivities, Mothering Sunday began with a religious purpose. Held on the fourth (4th) Sunday in Lent, it was originally a day to honour and give thanks to the Virgin Mary, also known as Mother Mary. The celebration required people to visit their mother-church; the main church or cathedral in a family’s area. It was a celebration that reunited families, the perfect opportunity to join family and honour your mother-church.
And although, nowadays, the holiday sees children honour and celebrate their mothers, either way, Mothering Sunday constantly represents another opportunity to spread love and give honour where it is due.
Hence, as you all celebrate 2022 Mothering Sunday, I urge you all to ensure that love is at the center of all that you do. The entire world could do with a little more love here and there, so, be the vessel.
