WORLD TEACHER’S DAY: Ojodu Council Chairman, Odunmbaku bags NUT Leadership Award

In recognition of his tremendous contribution to the education sector at the grassroots level, the Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku was given a ‘Leadership Award’ by the Ikeja Branch of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT).

In recognition of his tremendous contribution to the education sector at the grassroots level, the Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku was given a ‘Leadership Award’ by the Ikeja Branch of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT).

The award was presented to the Charmain at a gathering organized to mark year 2022 Teachers’ Day.

While being presented with the award, encomiums were showered on Odunmbaku, particularly, for his immeasurable supports during the unfortunate accident involving several students at Millennium School accident last year; the recently concluded Teachers’ empowerment Scheme, donation of One million Naira to L.G.E.A for official vehicle, payment of running cost to the Headteachers amongst others educational initiatives.

In attendance were the Chairman ably represented by the Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Olaide John Bello, supervisor for Education Hon. Olanrewaju Isaac, HOD Education Mrs. Ganiyat Belo, Tutor-General/ perm sec. Education District 6 and the Education Secretary Ikeja L.G.E.A. amidst other dignitaries.

Tinubu approves three road projects in Niger

President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate reconstruction of three federal roads in Niger State a statement signed on Thursday by Francis Nwaze, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Works, David Umahi, listed the roads as Mokwa–Bida Road (120km), Mokwa–Makera Road (63km), and Bida–Lambata Road (123.5km), totalling 306.5 kilometres.
