Nnamdi Kanu’s supporters clash with security men

Supporters of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu in large numbers clashed with security operatives at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

Supporters of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu in large numbers clashed with security operatives at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

Our correspondent observed that the supporters kept on chanting, “Holy Holy Holy, Nnamdi Kanu is another Saviour”.

The IPOB supporters were at the other end of the Ministry of Justice when the security agents sighted and tried to disperse them.

The supporters refused, arguing that the security operatives gave free access to a pro-government group drumming and singing.

This resulted in a face-off between the supporters and security operatives who later called for reinforcement and dispersed them.

But FCT Commissioner of Police (CP) Sunday Babaji said there was no clash between IPOB and security operatives.

He told THE NATION that no incident of such happened.
