Annual Empowerment: Faleke empowers another 1,500 Ikeja federal constituents

It was indeed another day of jamboree for the People of Ikeja Federal Constituency on Saturday 3rd February 2024, at the Police College in Ikeja, the state capital, as over 1,500 residents were empowered by Rt. Honorable James Abiodun Faleke member representing them at the Federal House of Representatives.

The ranking federal lawmaker urged members of his constituency to continue to support him in order to impact as many lives as possible.

He made the appeal while speaking during an empowerment programme he organised for his constituents in Ikeja.

Items such as industrial and sewing machines, grinding machines, deep freezer and generator, mini-buses, buses, utility vehicles, cars and other empowerment items were distributed to beneficiaries at the programme.

The Chairman House Committee on Finance also distributed patrol vehicles to police stations in his constituency, distributed SUVs to traditional rulers and donated ambulances for the use of the various communities in Ikeja.

Faleke said he was irrevocably committed to the welfare and well-being of his constituents and that the empowerment programme was a clear demonstration of his commitment to improving lives.May be an image of car and van

“We really thank God for giving us the opportunity to execute this empowerment program. So many people are beneficiaries and our residents deserve more”.May be an image of fruit

“This constituency is a special place with special people, and that is why we must ensure they enjoy the dividends of democracy.We have done it before , and we will continue to do more for our people.

“We have distributed over 400 mini buses, 103 tricycles , 118 driers ,315 grinding machines and solar light to light up our streets and communities.

“Today, we have five SUVs for our traditional leaders, five Hilux vans for police stations for effective policing, three ambulances for our community safety and emergencies, three Hummer buses for our market traders and empowerment items for our artisans.

“I am committed to improving lives in the constituency and by God’s grace ,I will continue to do my best to serve the people”, he said.

RT Hon. Faleke said is the continuation of his promise to get poverty out of Ikeja community by empowering most especially the Youths as well as the women and older People generally.

He said so far over 17,000 People have benefited from the empowerment programs ranging from cash grants, gifts and free medical outreach.

However, he advised the recipients not to sell them but makes judicious use of them.

The Chairman of the event, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Lagos Chapter, Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelade expressed his gratitude to Rt Hon Faleke for the continuous empowering of residents of his constituency and beyond.May be an image of car and van

Pastor Ojelabi noted that he has attended four mega empowerments by Faleke since he resumed office as the APC Lagos Chairman two and half years ago and urged the residents and voters in Ikeja to reciprocate the good gesture by continue to vote Faleke and the party in subsequent elections.

The APC Chairman for Ikeja Local Government Area and the chair of chair of the 57 Chairmen of the party in Lagos State, Mayegun Dally Adeokun in his appreciation message noted that Faleke have continued to endeared himself and the party in the hearts of the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency with his record breaking empowerment programs and free medical outreach.

Adeokun on behalf of the residents of Ikeja expressed immense appreciation and gratitude to the four-term federal lawmaker and assured him of the continuous support of the people and especially electorates.

As usual the College was filled with APC Party supporters as well as their leaders, APC Vice Chairman Lagos West Chief Rabiu Oluwa, GAC Leader Bashorun Olorufunmi, Traditional and religious leaders were not left out.

Also Present at the empowerment grants were Deputy Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, the three Local government Chairmen that makes up the Ikeja Federal Constituency, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon Mojeed Balogun and his counterpart Hon. Segun Odunmaku, and Hon. Dotun Olakanle Executive Chairmen of Ojodu and Onigbonbgo LCDAs respectively.

Also Present to witness the occasion were the erstwhile National Legal Adviser of the APC Mr. Babatunde Ogala (SAN), former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon Niyi Oyemade and Chief Ebenezer Akinbolade.
