The Royal Fouche Security Services, also known as the Amama Soldiers, have successfully carried out a rescue operation, freeing nineteen passengers kidnapped along the Bille-Bonny waterways in Rivers State.
The victims spent 21 days in captivity before being rescued on Monday. The security outfit is owned by the Amanyanabo of the Source, Elem Kalabari, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari (Dabaye Amakiri I).
In the aftermath of the successful rescue, the Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri, Da Amakiri Tubo, addressed the press, praising the operation and highlighting the need for stronger security measures along the region’s watmissing
Out of the 20 abducted passengers, 19 were rescued alive. The 20th victim, a military officer identified as Lance Corporal Salihu Ibrahim, was not found. He had reportedly been taken away earlier by the kidnappers to an unknown location and remains missing.
