The former Enugu State Governor, Chimaroke Nnamani, has predicted that All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will win the presidential election.

He restated his preference for Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

The senator insisted that Tinubu will be elected the next president on February 25, 2023.

Nnamani, who represents Enugu East Senatorial District, spoke in his country home Agbani in Nkanu West Local Government Area.

It was when he hosted some members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

They included former Senate President, Ken Nnamani; APC PCC spokesman in the Southeast, Dr. Josef Onoh; Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, A. C. Udeh, among others.

The former governor said: “Come February 25 2023, Asiwaju Tinubu will be elected the next president of Nigeria.

“There’s a need for people to know that my choice (Tinubu) was not for personal reasons but for mainstreaming of the Southeast into Nigeria politics.”

Senator Ken Nnamani also restated his own commitment to Asiwaju’s presidential bid, saying that it was for the national interest.

Onoh said the former Enugu governor has remained consistent in abiding by the Asaba, Enugu and Lagos accord of the southern governors that the next president should be of a southern origin.

“I thank Senator Chimaroke Nnamani for standing by that principle and his commitment towards ensuring that Asiwaju emerges the next president of Nigeria.

“I have made it clear that the time has come not just for renewed hope for Nigeria but for our future generation.

“Asiwaju as a father has come to a point where he said that what he wants to offer is a better foundation for all parts of the country and I’m with Asiwaju in that course,” Onoh said.
