Yoruba actor Okiki Adeshina dies after car crash

Yoruba actor Okiki Adeshina, widely known as Janmole, has died following a tragic car accident the actor’s death was announced by Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, who is the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

Mr Latin, in an Instagram post on Tuesday, revealed that Adeshina succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and prayed for strength for his family, friends and colleagues.

“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace,” he wrote.

“May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.”

The announcement triggered an outpouring of grief from fans and members of the Nigerian film industry, many of whom took to social media to pay tribute to the late actor.

Adeshina was a familiar face in the Yoruba movie industry, earning recognition for his performances in films such as Agunbaniro, Iyawo Asante and Ogbon Inu.

Beyond acting, he had recently expanded his presence on social media, building a growing audience through his TikTok content.
