The Governor of Lagos State, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu stated that with creativity and innovation, the rich African culture can be further strengthened into a goldmine for Nigeria, and Lagos in particular.

He made this assertion at the opening of The QDance Centre, a new creative hub in Lagos.

The Governor stated, ‘I was at The QDance Centre, a new creative hub on Hawley Street, Lagos Island. The centre is designed to nurture talent, enable performances, and promote unique cultural expressions on a global stage.’

‘It is a place where creativity can flourish and where we can elevate our cultural economy to new heights. I look forward to witnessing the countless stories, performances, and innovations that will emerge from this space’, said the Governor.

Prominent figures in attendance at the event were the Lagos Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde; the Executive Secretary/CEO of Lagos State Security Trust Fund LSSTF Dr Abdurrazaq Balogun; the former Group CEO of Red for Africa, Adebola Williams; and several other esteemed dignitaries.

It was noted that Lagos, the commercial and entertainment capital of Nigeria, has provided a nurturing environment for various artists, entertainers, and creatives to flourish, with many subsequently gaining international acclaim in their respective domains.
