VOB, Area E Commander and Alado flag off Community policing in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government.

The Alado of Ado Kingdom Oba Lateef Olayinka, Area Commander, Area E Command ACP Muawiyah Halilu and the Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh at the inauguration of the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Community Policing Committee

The Area Commander, Area E Command ACP Muawiyah Halilu with the Support of the Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Dr. Valentine Buraimoh and the Alado of Ado Kingdom Oba Lateef Olayinka Ado has inaugurated Community Police in the Local Government on Friday.

The Area Commander ACP Muawiyah Halilu, while addressing participants consisting of traditional leaders, artisans Associations, Executives of National Union for Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and other community stakeholders, laid emphasis on the importance of community policing.

He also enumerate the objectives of community policing to include strengthening the social bonds and cohesion’s within communities which enhance their ability to address community issues. He sought the cooperation of all stakeholders for its workability in the Local Government.

The Council Chairman in his address stated that, “the initiative is a welcome development geared towards fostering the security of lives and properties. I want to appeal to all of us to continue to lend our support to the Nigerian Police so that this novel community service scheme can be productive” he averred.

His Royal Highness, the Alado of Ado Kingdom, Oba Lateef Olayinka Ado also expressed his commendation for the initiative. He enjoined all stakeholders to embrace the community policing scheme for the benefit of our communities.
