Super Eagles and Napoli top striker, Victor Osimhen has bagged the Serie A Player of the Year Award for the 2022/2023 season at the AIC Oscar del Calcio Awards.
He was also named in Team of the Year along with four other Napoli stars.
The Napoli striker finished as Goal King of Serie A last season with 26 goals, first by any African after breaking the record of the former World footballer of the year George Opong Weah
His goals helped Napoli win their first Scudetto since 1990.
This award will be a prelude to the Super Eagles striker being crowned Africa’s best player next Monday in Marrakesh, Morocco.
He was ranked eighth in the Ballon d’Or and has also been nominated for the FIFA Best Awards.
