The Executive Chairman, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Dr (Engr.) Valentine Buraimoh has flagged off a four day Coronavirus (COVID-19) Safety protocol training of business owners in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government on Wednesday.
The Council Chairman in his speech to the participants stated that, “My request that business owners within Amuwo-Odofin Local Government attend this important educational programme is geared towards ensuring that all hands are on deck towards mitigating the continuous spread of COVID-19 in our communities”.
“At the end of this training I expect that our behavioural disposition to handling the pandemic and stopping it’s spread across our communities becomes intentional”.
“Doing business with anyone without a face mask is outlawed in Amuwo-Odofin and we must also ensure that all our safety preventive measures are strictly adhere to”.
“I want to strongly reiterate that any moment from now the special committee set up for enforcement would commence its statutory obligation and will not entertain any claim of ignorance. I want participants to leave this meeting as change agents”.
Participants at the end of the meeting applauded the Chairman and the management of Amuwo-Odofin government for being proactive in tackling headlong the spread of COVID-19 while promising to return to their businesses more determined to do the needful.
