Troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have intercepted a major logistics consignment suspected to be meant for Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno State.
The interception followed credible human intelligence indicating the movement of supplies from Dapchi in Yobe State toward the Magumeri axis of Borno. Acting swiftly on the intelligence, troops tactically deployed along the route and successfully stopped two pick-up vans conveying the suspected terrorist logistics.
Items recovered from the operation included two civilian vehicles, 31 spare tyres, 23 spare rims, two bicycles, 12 ignition key starters, three alternators, bags of flour and charcoal, tubers of yam, blankets, garri, assorted clothing for adults and children, mobile phones, a power bank, and an undisclosed sum of cash in various denominations.
The drivers of the vehicles, along with the recovered items, have been taken into military custody and are undergoing interrogation to determine their level of involvement and provide further intelligence for ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
Military authorities said the successful operation highlights the growing effectiveness of intelligence-led missions and the strong cooperation between troops and local security partners in disrupting terrorist logistics and supply chains.
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI reaffirmed their commitment to denying terrorist groups freedom of movement, cutting off their sources of logistics, and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the North-East.
The operation was confirmed in a statement issued by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, on December 19, 2025.
