President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted brother, loyal ally and invaluable partner in the administration’s efforts to transform Nigeria.
In a goodwill message marking the milestone, President Tinubu celebrated Shettima’s wife, Nana, his children, family members and political associates, while commending the Vice President for a life dedicated to public service, sacrifice and the advancement of worthy causes.
Tinubu praised Shettima’s distinguished career in banking and his record of service to Borno State and Nigeria, particularly his tenure as Governor of Borno State and his subsequent service as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to the President, Shettima has demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians in every capacity he has occupied.
President Tinubu also acknowledged the Vice President’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), his strong support for the administration and his dedication to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
As Chairman of the National Economic Council (NEC), Tinubu said Shettima had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and strengthening collaboration between the Federal Government and the states.
He further commended the Vice President for his respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, noting that these qualities had contributed to strengthening good governance across the country.
“His loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” the President said.
Tinubu expressed appreciation to Shettima for his steadfast support and partnership, stressing that both leaders would continue to work together to deliver the promises of Renewed Hope to Nigerians.
He expressed confidence that their continued collaboration would produce meaningful progress towards building “the Nigeria of our dreams.”
“On behalf of the Federal Government, I again congratulate Vice President Shettima on this milestone, and I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to guide, protect and strengthen him.
“May Munificent Allah grant him wisdom and good health, and bless him with many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria,” Tinubu prayed.
