Yesterday, our campaign trail began in Epe and I cannot but appreciate everyone for the warm reception. I thank the Lagos State Ijebu Traditional Rulers, ably led by the Chairman, The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, our party, All Progressives Congress leaders and members for the support you gave me before and during the primary election. I pray God, in His infinite mercy, crown our efforts with victory come October 31, 2020.

As I said to our royal fathers and party faithful yesterday, my priorities if by the grace of Almighty God, I am elected as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Lagos East, will be hinged on qualitative representation by leveraging my over three decades experience and network as an economist, chartered accountant, banker, commissioner for finance and CEO.

Loyalty to the ethos of our great party, continuous engagement towards earning a special status for Lagos State, facilitation of welfare programmes for the vulnerable and encouraging infrastructure renewal along the Epe corridor and Lagos East, in general, would be pivotal in our representation of the people.

Though, I will return to Epe soon to further engage with the people, let me appeal to our party faithful, on the urgent duty to go house-to-house, community-to-community to convince the electorate to vote our party in the forthcoming bye-election. We must use this bye-election to show the strength of Lagos APC to the entire country. We must reach out to those who have decided for our party and those who have not decided for our party. We must prevail upon them all to vote for us massively.

In conclusion, let me thank our hosts, my royal father, the Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Ogunlaja and Alhaji Akanni Seriki (Bamu), for the reception.

I appreciate everyone and may God bless you all.
