Terrorism: ISWAP training suicide bombers who’ll attack northeast soon – DSS

The Department of State Services, DSS, has disclosed that the Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, terrorist organization is training suicide bombers in the North-East.

The Department of State Services, DSS, has disclosed that the Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, terrorist organization is training suicide bombers in the North-East.

DSS Director in Adamawa State, Babagana Bulama, said the training of suicide bombers is aimed at carrying out a deadly attack soon.

Bulama said the DSS got wind of the plan through available intelligence.

He spoke at the 2022 1st Zonal Quarterly Conference of State Directors of Security, North-East region on Thursday in Maiduguri, Borno State.

According to Bulama, “Although, attacks by the insurgents in parts of the zone recently reduced owing to counterterrorism operations by security forces.

“Available intelligence has indicated that ISWAP are training suicide bombers with a view to carrying out deadly attacks on security agencies and vulnerable communities.”
