The Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Dr. Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh who was earlier screened today by the state panel expressed his satisfaction with the process and confidence to emerge as the party’s candidate for Amuwo Odofin Local government.

He stated while speaking with Lagos Panorama that “to the glory of God we have done a lot in the area of sustainable development which include education, health, infrastructural developments, empowerments of our youths and women. We did our best in the last four years but as you may agree with me four years is not adequate to complete most of our laudable projects hence, I am seeking a second term.

On the participation of youth in politics which he’s representing and how far as he involved youths in his first term, the young and energetic council chairman averred that “I am running an all-inclusive government and to that extent during the EndSARS saga the Amuwo Odofin youths stood out to protect the local government as they were able to chase criminals and hoodlums from causing any mayhem in the local government. Our youths help to protect both private and public properties in the local government. This established that youths are always carried along in our administration for them to have sense of belonging” he asserted.

On the screening process Dr Buraimoh asserted that “the screening process is fair and the composition of the panelists also indicated that the party is serious about the process in presenting those that are qualified and fully prepared to serve the people.

He also affirmed that he doesn’t foresee any problem in his emergence as the party flagbearer for the Chairmanship of Amuwo Odofin Local Government in the coming council elections.

Recently Dr. Valentine Buraimoh bagged the prestigious Lagos Panorama SDG distinguished awards for both Women Empowerment and most security Conscious Local Government for his outstanding performances in both categories.
