Seyi Tinubu marks 40th birthday with message of gratitude and purpose

Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, October 13, celebrated his 40th birthday with a heartfelt message of thanksgiving and reflection.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Seyi expressed profound gratitude to God, his family, and everyone who has played a role in his journey through life.

“As I turn 40 today, my heart is full — full of gratitude, peace, and joy. This milestone is more than a number; it is a reflection of God’s mercy, the strength of family, the loyalty of friends, and the gift of life itself,” he wrote.

Reflecting on his life so far, Seyi acknowledged the grace that has shaped his path, appreciating both triumphs and challenges as essential lessons in his growth.

He paid glowing tribute to his father, President Bola Tinubu, describing him as his “greatest inspiration and mentor”, and also celebrated his wife, Layal Tinubu, whom he credited for her constant love and support.

“My beautiful children, whose laughter reminds me why I strive harder; my family, whose guidance and prayers remain my foundation; my friends who have stood by me through every season; and my team and business partners, who share the vision and help turn ideas into impact,” he noted with deep affection.

Marking the beginning of a new decade, Seyi Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to service, compassion, and nation-building, saying this new chapter will focus on “happiness, reflection, and giving back even more with humility and a heart full of thanks.”

He signed off his message simply and powerfully:

“Here’s to family, to friendship, to faith, and to the beautiful journey ahead. I am grateful. I am happy. I am 40.”
