LAGOS — The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday inspected the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ office in Ikeja as part of ongoing strategic preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Sanwo-Olu was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as well as Princess Damilola Sonayon James.

The visit provided an opportunity to assess the level of preparedness at the campaign offices, strengthen coordination among party stakeholders and review plans ahead of the commencement of campaign activities.

Speaking after the visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu said he stopped by the presidential and gubernatorial campaign offices to review their readiness as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

He said the campaign committee was already working on strategies and mapping out the road ahead, describing the level of activity as “serious, structured work” taking place behind the scenes.

Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence in the commitment of APC leaders and candidates, including the party’s presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Hamzat and other APC candidates across Lagos State.

“I am encouraged by the energy and sense of purpose,” the governor said, stressing that the party remained focused, aligned and determined to secure victory across the board.

He added that the APC would continue to build on Lagos State’s development momentum while working to move the state forward.

Also speaking, Dr. Hamzat said he received Governor Sanwo-Olu at the campaign office and subsequently joined him at the presidential campaign office as the party formally begins its preparations for the 2027 political season.

Hamzat said the APC campaign would be anchored on a commitment to the people of Lagos, noting that the party was prepared to engage with residents, work for their confidence and present a united front.

“Our campaign is built on a commitment to every Lagosian who trusts us with their future. We are ready to work, engage with our people and earn their confidence,” he said.

He further emphasised the unity of the party’s candidates, from President Tinubu to Governor Sanwo-Olu, himself and other APC candidates across the state, saying they were united by a common purpose and mission.

“We are ready. Together, we will keep moving Lagos forward,” Hamzat said.

The inspection underscores the APC’s early mobilisation and strategic coordination as the party begins laying the groundwork for its 2027 electoral campaign in Lagos State.
