Red-hot Victor Osimhen grabbed a hat-trick on Wednesday as Napoli crushed Sassuolo 6-1 away from home in Serie A match.

Red-hot Victor Osimhen grabbed a hat-trick on Wednesday as Napoli crushed Sassuolo 6-1 away from home in Serie A match.

Sassuolo had opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Uros Racic showed perfect technique and produced a first-time effort from just outside the box that went into the bottom right corner to make it 1-0.

Napoli equalised in the 29th minute from an Amir Rrahmani’s goal. He received a delightful pass inside the box and smashed a low shot into the bottom left corner.

Two minutes later, Osimhen doubled for the visitors. Osimhen collected a killer pass inside the box that put him one-on-one against the goalkeeper. He scored, drilling a low drive deep inside the left post.

Four minutes before the break, Napoli made it 1-3. Osimhen got his brace after collecting a pass and from inside the box lifted the ball over Andrea Consigli, who was off his line.

Osimhen scored his hat-trick two minutes after the restart. He received a precise pass inside the box from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and he beat the goalkeeper with a neat finish into the bottom right corner to make it 1-4 for Napoli.

In the 51st minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia broke through the defence and scored a brilliant goal from outside the penalty area after firing the ball inside the right post for Napoli’s 5th goal.

Napoli made it 1-6 in the 75th minute. Kvaratskhelia got his brace as he was in the right place at the right time to get to the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifled the ball into the top left corner.
