The first Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Council, Alhaji Alani Saheed Okikioposu died on Friday after a protracted illness at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The news of the demised of the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was announced in an obituary message signed and made available to Lagos Panorama by the Chairman of the party in Ikeja LGA , Maiyegun Dally Adeokun.
The Chair of the 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State said in the announcement that “We regret, but with gratitude to Allah swt, to announce the death of one of our leaders, a former Ikeja Local Government Council Chairman and a close friend, Mayor Alani Okikioposu this evening”.
“Burial will take place tomorrow and further details later”.

In an updated development on the burial arrangements of late Mayor Alani Okikioposu was confirmed to Lagos Panorama by the Councillor representing Ward F Alausa, in the Ikeja Local Government Legislative Council, Hon Basheer Nurudeen said his body leaves LASUTH Ikeja for Alausa community at 7:30 am.
Prayers according to Islamic rite at 8 am after which his body leaves for the Muslim Burial Ground, Agege.
He is survied by wife, children and grandchildren..
