Former Lagos State First Lady, Senator Fatimat Raji-Rasaki, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, on the conferment of an honorary doctorate degree by the Federal University of Technology, FUTO, Owerri, Imo State.

The award ceremony held on Saturday, 7th December, 2024 marked the 36th convocation of the Institution, where prominent Nigeria leaders were recognized for their contributions to national development and humanitarian efforts.

Senator Raji Rasaki, in a statement on Sunday, lauded the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, for her exceptional virtues, pointing out that her impact is felt not only in Nigeria but also internationally and remarking that “her outstanding contributions to the lives of Nigerian citizens are worthy of recognition.”

She praised Senator Tinubu for her humanitarian services and unwavering dedication to advancing education, particularly the establishment of the Renewed Hope Initiative, (RHI) and other NGOs that focused on youth development, girl-child education, and women empowerment.

Sen. Raji Rasaki urged the First Lady not to relent but remain steadfast in her dedication and selfless services to mankind, “Your Excellency, you are a champion of a great Nigeria and all that are best for Nigerians. We are proud of today’s honour, so I admonish you to continue such policies for the benefit of all.”
