The Local Government under the leadership of Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh in partnership with Rotary Club of Lagos Festac Cosmopolitan presented birth kits to pregnant women attending ante-natal with the PHC.

In his address before the presentation, Past Assistant Governor/Project Director, Rotarian Ike John Ugwu said, “This project is in furtherance of the partnership programme between Amuwo-Odofin LG and Rotary Club of Lagos Festac Cosmopolitan and it seems to provide Safe Birth Kits containing some of the basic essentials for safe delivery of babies to

identified needy mother’s. The Festac PHC has acquired a reputation as the first port of call for many expectant mothers because of the quality of maternity services and it’s affordability, thus, the donation is a practical demonstration of our commitment to assist the PHC to continue to provide these quality care and services.”

Responding to the Club, the Mayor thanked the delegation, promising to continue to see to it that quality healthcare services is synonymous to the services of its PHC.

The group’s also donated Fetal Dopler machines to the PHC.
