Reps adopt harmonised tax reform bills, applaud Faleke for unwavering commitment

The House of Representatives approved and adopted the Conference Report on the Tax Reform Bill at its plenary session on Wednesday, after its presentation by the Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke, the ranking Member from Ikeja Federal Constituency.

This milestone positions the Nigerian economy for a substantial enhancement and an upward trajectory, facilitating the expedited delivery of democratic dividends to citizens.

Given this accomplishment, the Leadership and entire House applauded the steadfast commitment and sagacity of the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, Rt. Hon. Faleke, for his unrelenting efforts and devotion throughout this demanding task, which ensured the successful passage of the four bills.

The bills transmitted to the National Assembly by President Bola Tinubu in October 2024 were passed at a session chaired by Deputy Speaker Benjamin bills

The development followed the adoption of the harmonised versions of the reform bills by both the House and the Senate.

At plenary on Wednesday, the House of Representatives considered the report of the conference committee, which harmonised the bills.
