President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, visited the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in London, United Kingdom (UK).
The President had travelled to London for the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE 2021-2025), which held on July 29.
Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, had said Buhari is scheduled for a medical appointment after the summit, and is expected back in the country in the second week of August.
Meanwhile, the former governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Tinubu, has been out of the country for over a month.
Following his prolonged absence from Nigeria, there had been unconfirmed reports alleging that Tinubu is sick and receiving medical treatment in London. This was debunked by his Media Aide, Tunde Rahman.
Recently, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, after a visit to Tinubu in London, insisted that the APC chieftain is “hale and hearty”.
“I went to see things for myself. It is just to put the minds and hearts of people to rest that there is nothing for us to worry about,” Sanwo-Olu averred.
