The National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria held a peaceful protest today in Lagos to mark the 40th anniversary of the organisation.
The Students Union Government (SUG) of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has reacted to the arrest of 74 students of the school by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja in a landmark ruling on Tuesday, 22 “restrained the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and its agents from unlawfully imposing sanctions or doing anything whatsoever to harass, intimidate, arrest or prosecute Twitter and/or any other social media service provider(s), media houses, radio and television broadcast stations, the Plaintiffs and other Nigerians who are Twitter users, pending the hearing and determination of this suit.”
