Our vision is to keep making LETI better- Prince Oyekan

The Head of Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute- LETI, Prince Ifalade Oyekan has reiterated the Governor’s vision to make LETI bigger and better towards the attainment of the THEMES Agenda, especially the safety of lives and properties.

Prince Ifalade while speaking at the Palace of the Oniru of Iru-victoria Island and it’s environs said LETI has rebranded and repositioned to deliver on it’s core mandate of Training Lagos State Law Enforcement Officers to provide global class services to the teeming Lagos State residents.

He said one of the key elements of the rebranding process is the introduction of modern technologies including the body Worn Cameras which is aimed at making our law enforcement officers outstanding in the performance of their duties.

In his response, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal thanked the management of LETI for the courtesy visit.

In his words, Kabiyesi Oniru said,” I have known the new Head Of LETI to be a capable real son of the soil and that he would do better for the community. We don’t have any other place than Lagos and the best thing for us is to develop our community.”

He further said “the ball is in our courts to get the right things done, especially with the security of lives and properties which is the main job of every government.”

He also promised to do whatever he can to collaborate and support the new branded LETI, while he also advised the management of LETI to look at how to bring the Private Guards in the state under its umbrella starting with his Palace Guards.

Oba Gbolahan said his experience with the over 30 security companies operating in his domain shows that the private guards require the kind of training offered at LETI while he also advised that the Institute should put forward a proposal to the Law makers to compel the private security companies to ensure that their staff are certified through training by the Lagos State Law enforcement Training Institute.

Prince Ifalade Oyekan in his closing remarks to Newsmen at the visit said this is another encouraging welcome from one of the foremost Traditional ruler
