
As the May 29th date for the All-Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for the Lagos Council elections is getting closer more aspirants are making good their aspirations as a Senior Legislative Adviser to the Speaker House of Representatives, Hon Adamson Oluwatosin Ayinde formally declared is aspiration for the Chairmanship position of Onigbongbo LCDA on Tuesday at Olanrewaju street, Oregun, Onigbongbo-Ikeja, Lagos

The well attended event has in attendance traditional and religious leaders, APC party leaders, members and well-wishers which include some ward chairmen, Women leader and a host other.
One of the attendee Hon Apena a former councillor in Ikeja Legislative Council, stated that he decided to stepdown his ambition to support Hon Adamson because of his intimidating curriculum vitae (CV).

The representative of HRM Oba Ajasa of Onigbongbo kingdom, averred that the indigenes of Onigbongbo and Aworis are solidly behind their son Hon Adamson for the exalted position of the Council. The Oluwo of Oregun also corroborated the royal father.
One of the Community Elder at the event, Maxi V. A. Okpara who spoke with Lagos Panorama said “With what is on the ground and Adamson pedigree, with his CV we know he can do the job as the Chairman, he has attempted before but was asked to stepdown”.

“He has made some contributions to the local government, he installed four boreholes in different communities in Onigbongbo LCDA and also gave over a thousand JAMB forms. Now that the Awori people are ready to support their own because the problem before with the Awori people was that they said they are not schooled, but Adamson has a master degree and many other professional certificates so we believe he will do well as the Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA.”

A Women leader, stated that “Hon Adamson Imole Ayinde is a man of the people and I know he is very capable to be the chairman. Aside the fact that he is my relative, I am sure he can do well, so I am appealing to the party hierarchy to please give him a chance and let see, but I know he will not disappoint us” she concluded.

The Ward Chairman of Olusosun, Shobowale Sholanke urged supporters to be peaceful and obey party guidelines.
The aspirant Hon Adamson in his remark appreciated the teeming supporters for their supports and promised to operate an open-door administration where everyone will have sense of belonging.

He also used the occasion to highlights some of his contributions to the people of Onigbongbo LCDA, “I have been able to drilled four boreholes, distributed of 1, 217 JAMB forms, 508 GCE forms for youths of Onigbongbo. I also secured 16 career jobs to residents of Onigbongbo and also non career jobs among other supports”.

“I believe by the grace of God if giving the mandate to come the chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, I promise to fix all our roads, and create other alternative road networks. Ensure a good healthcare system, sink more boreholes, create more job opportunities and empowerment programmes for both men and women, widows and all less privileged residents of Onigbongbo” he asserted.
