Olorunda LCDA Council Chairman flags off staff clinic as NULGE holds thanksgiving service

Announces first-of-its-kind retirement-support package for staff

The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Olorunda LCDA Chapter, on Monday, held a welcome/thanksgiving service in the Council Secretariat.

The Chief Press Secretary, Adeosun, Abdulwahab Adebowale, in a press release stated that the Union Chairman, Comrade Ogunyemi Rasheed, in his opening remark expressed profound appreciation to the Almighty God for protecting the Council Chairman, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde, every member of the Executive and Legislative arms, senior and junior Civil Service officials of the council.

He also highlighted the numerous and appealing projects completed by the Hon Olatunde’s administration. He emphasized on the welfare packages and emoluments for every worker of the Council.

Comrade Rasheed promised an unflinching support from every member of the Union, with an assurance of unalloyed loyalty from each and every one of them.

The Council Manager, Mr. Dawodu M.O, in his remark, stated the need to maintain the culture of punctuality and diligence to work by every public servant of the Council.

He pointed out that this is the only way efficiency and productivity can be ensured, guaranteed and achieved by every public servant.

The Council Chairman assured every civil servant of his commitment towards worker’s welfare. He also said that his administration will stop at nothing in building more structures and initiating more projects that will continue to give the Council an admirable lift.

Speaking further, he announced a significant increase in the monthly welfare package of staff (double) to loud cheers. He then announced a new, bumper, first-of-its-kind package for retirees which would allow retirees at various levels of service to go home with cash gifts ranging from 150,000 to 500,000 Naira.

The event proceeded into the flag-off of staff clinic by the Council Chairman. Where he stated that the welfare and safety of every worker in the Council is a huge priority, and of great and paramount concern for his administration, and that as a result of this, adequate health facilities and other needed health equipment shall be provided for the Staff clinic in due course.

Also in attendance were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bamgbose Femi, Leader of the Legislative arm, Hon. Idowu Awotunde, the SLG to the Council, Hon. Odu Joseph, other members of the Executive and Legislative arms, the Council Manager, Mr. Dawodu M.O, NULGE National Auditor, Comrade Hakeem Atanda Bello, CDC Chairman, Deacon Abu-Ganiyu Adesina, as well as Special Assistants to the Council Mayor.
