Still in the mood of the 1st year-in-office celebration, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku has extended kind gestures toward women and entrepreneurs within the Council.
The second day of the 3-day celebration which was held at the Council Secretariat on Wednesday 21st September was dedicated to the distribution of POS machines, financial donations to plank market and business women, as well as handing over official vehicles to the legislators.
While delivering his speech, Hon Odunmbaku reiterated the commitment of his administration towards improving the standard of living of the citizens through incessant support which would culminate in economic and financial independence.
“Yesterday, in line with the activities lined up for the 3-Day celebration, we had an eventful day with the youths through symposium, teachers’ empowerment, and distribution of GCE forms. Today, we are fulfilling some of our promises by empowering the citizens for financial independence. We have made provisions for business empowerment and distribution of POS machines” Odunmbaku said.
Odunmbaku donated cash of One Million Naira to Ogba Plank Market to cushion the effect of the fire incident that engulfed the market. Likewise, POS machines and cash donations were given to the various traders to further improve their businesses.
Speaking at the event, the Council’s APC Chairman, Hon. Chief Stella Kokumo showered encomium on the Executive Chairman for his exceptional leadership and myriad of life changing projects carried out since inception.
The celebration would be rounded-up with the second edition of “Breakfast Meeting with the Chairman”, commissioning of Apata PHC and handing over of Ambulance on Thursday 22nd.
Other attendees at the event were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira and other legislators, Executive committee members, Management Staff,market men and women,residents,party stalwarts and other stakeholders.
