The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections, outlining key dates for primaries, screening, appeals, and the sale of nomination forms.
According to the document issued from the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the process begins with the notice of election to state chapters on April 20, 2026, followed by the sale of forms between April 25 and May 2, 2026. Submission of completed forms is expected to close on May 4, 2026.
Screening of aspirants for various positions—including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and Governorship—will hold from May 6 to May 8, while presidential screening is scheduled for May 9. The publication of screening results is fixed for May 11, with appeals slated for May 12–13.
Primary elections are scheduled to commence with the presidential primary from May 15 to May 16. This will be followed by the House of Representatives on May 18, Senate on May 20, State Houses of Assembly on May 21, and Governorship primaries on May 23, 2026. Appeals arising from the primaries will run between May 18 and May 25, depending on the office.
The timetable also details the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms. Presidential aspirants are to pay a total of ₦100 million, while governorship forms cost ₦50 million. Senate aspirants will pay ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State Assembly aspirants ₦6 million.
The party noted that female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities are eligible for concessions, requiring only the purchase of expression of interest forms and 50 percent of the nomination fees.
In the statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC reaffirmed its commitment to conducting transparent and credible primaries, emphasizing its dedication to strengthening internal democracy ahead of the 2027 polls.
