The Olu of Iju Ishaga, His Royal Highness, Oba Abass Amole Ajibode is dead. He died on Saturday at the age of 88.

The Olu of Iju Ishaga, His Royal Highness, Oba Abass Amole Ajibode is dead. He died on Saturday at the age of 88.

A community leader who confirmed the passage of the monarch to Lagos Panorama, said arrangements have been firmed up for his burial today by 4pm in accordance with Islamic rites.

He would be buried at his palace in Iju Ishaga.

Already the traditional rites to mourn the death of the monarch has been done yesterday night.

The respected traditional ruler, according to sources, was hale and hearty at the time of his death.

He was said to have died few weeks to his 15th coronation anniversary which comes up on 19 September, 2021.
