A prayer session was organized in respect of the 57th birthday celebration of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, vice Chairman Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi in company of Legislators, Executive Committee, Management Team and teaming well-wishers observed the prayer session at the Council Secretariat Hall on 27th June.

Odunmbaku noted that the prayer session was necessitated due to the symbolic number 57 which synchronizes with the number of all the 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in the State.

The event also featured prayers for the State and Nation, particularly supplicating for peace in respect of the forthcoming general election in 2023.

Both Islamic and Christian clerics prayed in succession as cutting-of-cake was done to conclude the ceremony.

Tinubu and EFCC – Richard Akinnola

No man is above the law, including Tinubu. If there are reasons to investigate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, it is within the purview of the EFCC to do. However, perception in most cases, is stronger than reality. Tinubu left office 14 years ago. For the EFCC to suddenly wake up now and be asking the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) for Tinubu’s asset declaration forms, reeks of all ingredients of conspiracy theory, particularly against the backdrop of his suspected presidential ambition. I recall that Jonathan government made a similar stunt with the same CCB, leading to the trial and acquittal of Tinubu at the Code of conduct Tribunal.
