Ojo Local Government gets kudos for staff welfare, revenue generation

The commendations was given by the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu during the first biannual familiarisation/ monitoring visit to Ojo Local Government at the Multipurpose Hall, Ojo

Hon. Bayewu revealed that the purpose of the visit was to assess the performance and chat new ways to improve the Internally Revenue Generation of the Councils in Lagos State, adding that the management and the entire workforce should be above board and capable of rendering the expected services to the teeming populace with the taxpayers money.

The Commission Chairman gave kudos to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu(Mr. Project) for his outstanding performance in transforming the local government to better abode through his Infrastructural renewal. He further noted that other Local Councils should emulate him but still not to relent on improving the revenue generation.

In his keynote address,the Executive Chairman, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu appreciated the Local Government Service Commission on its commitment to turn around workforce for better and optimal job outputs. He further, reiterated the support and cooperation for this laudable gesture.

The Council Manager, Mrs Esther Ajose gave unprecedented progress report on staff welfare, provision of modern staff clinic, improved revenue generation among others. She then further thanked the Commission for the working visit to the Council.

Highlights of the visit include interactive session on job descriptions and career progression among other issues affecting the workforce.

The occasion was witnessed by Commissioner 1(Ikorodu Division) Hon. Engr. Abiodun Orekoya.Commissioner 2( Lagos Division) Hon.Hakeem Adisa Bamgbola, Commissioner 3(Epe Division) Hon.Ahmed Ayinde Seriki, Commissioner 4(Ikeja Division) Hon. Taofeeq Abiodun Adaranijo,Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs.Mobolaji Daba,Permanent Secretary, Local Government, Establishment, Training and Pension, Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye and Directors from the Commission, others include Secretary to the Local Council, Hon.Sikuru Lawal, Management Team, Nulge Chairman, Comrade kayode Yusuf,Executive members and members of staff.
