Office Of Resilience Achieves Significant Milestones In Building Resilient Lagos – Commissioner

The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), through the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, earlier this week, announced a series of achievements in its quest to build a resilient and sustainable Lagos. These key achievements were shared during the Y2025 Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.

 

The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), through the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, earlier this week, announced a series of achievements in its quest to build a resilient and sustainable Lagos. These key achievements were shared during the Y2025 Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.

The Press Briefing, led by Mr. Ope George, the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, showcased the accomplishments of the Lagos State Resilience Office and highlighted progress made in implementing its mandate.

The Commissioner outlined the notable achievements, including the successful launch of the Lagos Resilience Strategy (LRS) Implementation Tracking Platform to enhance transparency and monitoring of resilience initiatives across MDAs. He said the office also expanded Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to 12 MDAs, embedding institutional resilience in government operations, adding that LASRO, in the year under review, engaged LGAs/LCDAs through sensitisation campaigns, with a focus on grassroots resilience adaptation and local capacity-building.

“The Office also convened the Lagos Resilience Forum, which brought together various stakeholders to share and discuss insights on building a resilient Lagos, strengthened community resilience by delivering targeted programmes for artisans and tradesmen and equally positioned Lagos on the global resilience map by participating in the Global Risk & Resilience Fellowship”, he added.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s full alignment with LASRO’s mission, reiterating the state government’s commitment to building institutional community resilience across the state.
