In fulfilling his H.E.Y.S Agenda (Health, Education, Youth and Social infrastructure), the Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Odunmbaku has inaugurated a bursary award committee.
The bursary grant is one of Hon. Odunmbaku’s efforts in making impacts on Education; the second item in his electoral promises.
However, the committee is saddled with the responsibility of screening potential beneficiaries in order to ensure that Ojodu LCDA indigenes/residents really benefit from the initiative.
“This committee will ensure that the beneficiaries are strictly vetted because the scheme is meant for bona fide and qualified indigenes of Ojodu LCDA. Likewise, the bursary award will come up yearly at the beginning of each academic session”, said the Chairman.
Furthermore, the Chairman charged the committee to think out of the box in sustaining the initiative by ensuring Public-Private Partnership, as donations and contributions from private entities would go a long way in increasing the numbers of beneficiaries and the number of grants.
As inaugurated by the Executive Chairman, the committee consists of Supervisor for Education as the Chairman; Mrs Ganiyat A. Belo – Secretary; Barrister Afolabi Kalejaiye – Legal Officer; Prince Aderemi Ajibola, Michael Imoudu and Gloria Asugha as members.
